L'Alliance Fur Traders

18th Century French Fur Traders

L’Alliance is a group of area re-enactors who portray the life of French Traders on the Theatiki (or Kankakee River) from 1730-1740. They will land their birchbark canoes and set up campsites at Island Park during Heritage Day, June 8, 2019. Riverine Fur Traders, from Bascobel WI, include Muskrat, Blue Eyes and Miss Lizzie will also be at Island Park portraying trapping and trading from the same era.
