Momence Heritage Day
June 8, 2019

Welcome to the city of Momence, Illinois! On the second Saturday of June each year, the community comes together for a celebration of our past, the people who founded and influenced our success, and the local and national events that shaped our history. Commencing in 2017 as a re-dedication of the Little Red Schoolhouse and a self-guided tour of Momence's historic sites, the Heritage Day event grew tremendously in its second year. Activities were available at each of our museums, as well as in our historic downtown and on Island Park. The 2019 event is currently in the planning stages.
