Stanford's Battery of Illinois is an educational non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving Civil War history through School Presentations, Living History Displays, Large Scale Public Reenactments and Interactive Camp Activities. The Stanford Battery features re-enactors from Illinois and Indiana who educate the public on how the average soldier lived during the Civil War. Every event and battle helped mold our country into what it is today. A premier living history that includes a Civil War camp, cannons, displays, and more are featured in this action-packed event. In addition, this year will also feature a medical tent, where "injured soldiers" will receive medical attention in keeping with the period.
